Comedian Carl Rimi Live in Naples, Florida!
Carl Rimi has spent over 30 years making people laugh as a stand-up comedian. A significant chapter of that
career—nearly a decade—was spent performing on cruise ships around the world, which Carl jokes is why
“everyone’s seen me, but no one knows my name.” After leaving the cruise circuit in 2013, he returned full-time to
land-based comedy while expanding into filmmaking.
While comedy has always been the foundation, Carl’s on-camera work grew naturally from the stage. He
appeared in lead and supporting roles in feature films and more than 50 commercials, eventually moving into
writing and producing his own material. In 2021, he wrote, produced, starred in, and co-directed the psychological
horror film iPossessed, a project born out of the same DIY mindset that fueled his stand-up career.
Alongside filmmaking, Carl continues to perform stand-up regularly and is preparing the release of his comedy
special Remember When, scheduled for 2026, reflecting on nearly three decades in comedy with the perspective
that only time—and a lot of bad gigs—can provide.
Carl is currently shooting the TV comedy series Mid-Life College, which he wrote and stars in. The show
follows three lifelong friends in their forties who return to college to play football for the worst Division III team in
the country, chasing old dreams while trying to avoid adulthood altogether.
Whether on stage or on screen, Carl Rimi’s work is rooted in lived experience, self-deprecation, and the kind of
humor that comes from sticking with it long enough to know exactly who you are.
